We currently have an opening for a Landscape Carpenter

Pathways Landscape Group is a premium landscape design and construction company in the Comox Valley and we are looking for a skilled Landscape Carpenter to join our team. If you have landscape carpentry experience, are physically fit and have a strong work ethic, we would love to hear from you. 

Our ideal candidate:

  • Is experienced in wood construction, including: decks, fences, pergolas, small structures and concrete forming

  • Has at least 3 years of landscape construction experience

  • Is proficient with a variety of power and hand tools

  • Machine driving experience an asset - skid steer, excavator etc.

  • Carpentry trade certification an asset

  • Is reliable, has a positive attitude and enjoys working on a team

  • Has excellent problem solving skills

  • Is comfortable in a physically demanding role and has the ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day

  • Has minimum Class 5 licence with own transportation

  • Will happily work outside in all kinds of weather

  • Ensures attention to detail when receiving and following instruction

General duties include:

  • Installation of decks, fences, pergolas, paving stones, retaining walls, flagstone, walkways, driveways, and water features

  • Installation of irrigation and drainage applications

  • Installation of softscapes including soil, mulch, plant materials

  • Operating various tools and equipment, including cut-off saws, jackhammers, heavy equipment, drills, etc.

  • Performing highly physical work on a consistent basis

  • Maintaining a safe and clean job site

Pay range: $25-$30/hour depending on experience. Full-time (approx. 40 hours/week).
